What an absolutely stunning home you have made here at The Carn! We’ve been in awe at the effort and thought that has gone into making this a truly eco-home.
Our long weekend was full of walks in the countryside, lunch and cake from Presteigne and plenty of time on the veranda; drinking wine, reading and playing games.
Its been a fabulous for us to step away from day- to- day life in the city and step back into nature so thank you for building a wonderful home.
We will be back!

When we arrived we were stunning by the views and landscape. Also the way the house was built, especially the swing seat.

We has a wonderful stay. I’ve always wanted to experience living off grid and what it would be like. Its been a very peaceful and relaxing time.
We enjoyed sitting outside early morning and watching foxes, kites and ducks flying over.
The Dark skies are amazing!
Cant wait to return and do it all over again.
Our dogs loved it too.

What a gorgeous place. We have had the most magical time here. It has been Georgia’s 30th Birthday which has been so lovely in the peaceful fields. To top it off big time, Joe proposed to Georgia on the evening of her 30th making her the happiest girl in the world. What a special place to hold such a special memory.

Thank you for a really amazing stay in your wonderful cabin. Incredibly relaxing and peaceful- nobody wanted to leave! The views, walks and outdoor bath and shower all highlights.

Thank you for such a wonderful place for my family to switch off. We came with 3 kids and our dog and everyone enjoyed it. We don’t want to leave!

Trying to find it in the dark was quite the experience! Thank goodness for what three works and apple maps. That almost made it even more special when we arrived! Worth the treasure hunt.
The views and privacy are beyond incredible! Having a coffee in the swing seat and a magnesium outdoor bath in the rain and then seeing beautiful double rainbow!
Such a special sanctuary you have built.
I slept so well and angel loved it too!

What a treat! The Carn was everything we imagined for our break and more. Turning 33 away from the world, switching off and slowing down in this gorgeous landscape was beyond perfect.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful cabin, it is one of our favourite places we have every stayed!
Lots of long walks, bbq’s, outdoor baths, wild swimming and our teenager barely touched her phone whilst here!
We are very sad to leave but will defiantly be coming back!

Once a year two friends of 40 + years meet somewhere in the middle for a weekend of catching up. We’ve stayed in some amazing spots but The Carn has set a very high bar!
The outside shower and bath were a particular treat.
We’ve loved adding to the growing cork collection in this idyllic corner of our beautiful country.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Carn.
The games in the trunk and the puzzle were most enjoyed. The outdoor fire pit was a hit too.
We walked to the judges Lodgings Museum which was fabulous, and got food from the butchers (homemade pies) and deli.
A lovely couple of days.

This place is so special.
We had a magical time and such a wonderful slice of heavenly family time too. Fire pits, al fresco dining, games, exploring, bird watching, hammock naps, outdoor bathing, a minute of off grid fun.
You have really built an absolute paradise.

Thank you for a wonderful stay.
We were very lucky with the weather.
Didn’t use the car at all, did walks- 3 & 5 in the yellow folder. Very easy to follow and ended up in the village to grab supplies. Such a cosy place- pits its such a long way from Newcastle!!

What a wonderful and beautiful experience!
I really recommend bringing your pets because the field at the front is a nice place for them to have a little run.

tThis is the third year in a row we have stayed at The Carn, arriving here in the middle Storm Claudia. While the wind howled around us and we curled up with the fire and delicious birthday cake our hosts had prepared, we felt blissfully safe and relaxed as we always do here.
This year we discovered a new board game in the chest provided and spent many a happy hour playing ad enjoying the scenery and made it out for some day walks- local and at Hay-On-Wye (a place highly recommended if your havent been) Our only disappointment is that it was too short a stay (next time it will be longer)

We had the most wonderful stay in The Carn.
The views were amazing and the interiors are so cosy! We loved being amongst nature, re-setting and connecting as a family.
I had previously been to stay with some girlfriends so it was very special to return with my family. Our Son Jude loved the outdoor bath, making friends with the neighbours (sheep) and toasting marshmallows on the fire.
Thank you for the thoughtful touches and giving us such a lovely weekend.

Thank you for a great cosy place to stay, very warm and homely and being greeted with a fresh loaf of bread was a lovely bonus.
The children absolutely loved the outdoor bath and we all enjoyed completing the Harry Potter puzzle as a family.
Will definitely miss those morning views.
It would be lovely to come and see it in the summer.

We have had the BEST TIME!
We all roasted marshmallows, went in the outdoor bathtub, and went on a lovely long walk into town where we explored the charity shops and grabbed some delicious pastries!
The cabin is so gorgeous and cosy with beautiful views!
