Booking and arrival

  • Frith Meadow is in Stapleton, a hamlet a few miles walk or drive from the border town of Presteigne.

    Dont worry- we will send you a dropped pin when you are about to arrive to ensure safe passage.

  • Up to five people. We have two bedrooms; the master bedroom has a kingsize bed and the second room has a double with a single bunk above.

  • Yes we love hosting everyone! Infants and children all welcome. Travel cot, high chairs, toys and games available. Please see our Accessibility page for more details.

  • Yes we would love you to bring your four legged friends. There is an additional fee of £40 per pooch. ( One large dog maximum)

  • We allow guests to arrive anytime from 4pm (although I will text you earlier if its ready before then)

    Departure is from 10am (but I give you extra time on request)

  • Yes you can park right next to the cabin. See videos on our accessibility page for more clarity on this.

  • The cabin has underfloor heating throughout the entrance, bedrooms and bathroom.

    The radiators and wood-burning stove will keep you toasty in the open plan kitchen/ living/ dining room.

  • We are proud to be a tech free offering, encouraging our guests to switch off during their stay.

    For those of you who need to stay connected to the real world, there is a mast nearby for great phone signal and 4G.

  • No but we have a great selection of board games, drawing and painting supplies so you can all keep entertained during your stay.

  • Yes all bedding and towels are provided for your stay.

  • We provide, everything you will need for you stay- eco body wash and shampoo, hand soap and washing up liquid.

  • No i’m afraid not- we are off-grid so we are careful about the usage on the system.

  • Yes! We pride ourselves on having a fully equipped kitchen ready for the buddy chefs; from sharp knives to sieves, cake tins to graters.

  • We dont provide charcoal but you can pre-order from us for £10 per bag of locally sourced charcoal.

  • We provide locally sourced sourdough bread, locally roasted coffee and hand pressed apple juice as part of your welcome pack.

  • Hampers can be ordered in advance through The Deli and they will be delivered to site ready for your arrival.

    From breakfasts, to cheese and biscuits, local artisan drinks and meat selection packs- they have it all!

  • Yes- we work with several private chefs who can work with you to create a special menu.

  • We have a wrap round deck and large covered space connecting you to the outdoors.

    The sunken outdoor bath, Portuguese Bucket shower and sauna are all available to you during your stay.

    The outdoor kitchen and fire pit are the perfect place to feed friends and family.

    The wildflower meadow if full of trails to explore- enjoy wildflower hunting.

  • When your not sunk in the outdoor tub stargazing, warming in the sauna or flicking though a book from the shelf- We have badminton, french Boule, crocket for people of all ages.

    There are watercolours, pad and easel for those you fancy getting creative.

    Pens, colouring in and toys for the kids.

    Board games and puzzles for everyone.

  • Yes- we use natural eco conscious toiletries which are all provided.

  • No- its all yours for the duration of your stay.

    Its all laid ready to be lit- it takes around 1hr to get to temperature.

    Please follow the sauna guide for your heath and safety.

  • Yes- we supply wood ready for your arrival, if you need extra we charge a £5 per basket on a honesty donation basis.

  • We welcome your four legged friends. We charge and additional £20 per pooch. (one large dog and two small maximum)

  • Our parcel of land has fencing along its perimeter, we ask you to keep your dog in sight as we havent got fences into the woodland. We have a resident family of Deer who may visit.

  • No smoking inside, there is a plant pot outside with sand as an ash tray.

  • Yes we ask people not to disturb our neighbours with any amplified music and/or loud noises.

  • We are a semi-accessible site, with a wrap round deck guests are able to access both buildings.

    There are however steps getting up to the deck and from the link way into the kitchen.

  • Yes upon request we can leave a travel cot, high chair, baby bath and toys ready for your arrival.

  • We are located up in the hills outside the hamlet of Stapleton, a short walk/drive from the border town of Presteigne.

    We will send you a detailed welcome pack and a dropped pin the nearer the time of your arrival so you can find us without a fuss.

  • We are very lucky to be surrounded by a wealth of border towns filled with local amenities. The welcome pack provided also includes over 15 local walks.
