Off-grid eco cabin near Presteigne

Sleeps 5- Perfect for couples, small groups, families and four legged friends. Fully equipped open plan indoor kitchen, out door fire-pit. Outdoor sunken bath and Portugese Bucket shower. Indoor flushing toilet using rainwater, bath and shower.

One king-size bed, one double bed and one single bunk above the double bed. Cot available on request.

Suitable for children of all ages

Pets welcome- Space for 1 pet from £40 per pet per stay - bring dog blankets and towels for those wet walks

What’s provided?

Welcome pack including locally made sourdough bread, locally roasted coffee and our hand pressed apple juice.

Kitchen basics- salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and a few herbs and spices.

Nitty Gritty

  • Check in: 4 pm

  • Check out: 10 am

  • Please bring torches, suitable footwear and clothing

  • Please stick to the footpaths to access town through the meadow

  • Firewood is provided, extra can be purchased at £5 per box

  • Mobile phone signal (network dependent)

  • No WiFi

  • Dogs are welcomed, but not on furniture. There is an enclosed field directly outside The Carn, however please keep on a lead around any livestock.

  • Please note that the children's single bunk is located above the double bed

Finding us

  • We are nestled upon a hill so the track up to The Carn high above the public road from the nearby town of Presteigne, is quite steep and bumpy in parts- please drive carefully.

  • We will send you detailed directions once your booking has been made.

  • We will text you a dropped pin on the morning of your arrival along with the key code.
