On Sunday 17th May

10:30-4:30

We are looking forward to hosting Nessie our Breath work facilitator who will lead us through a day of conscious connected breathwork, somatic release practices, guided journalling and gentle partner work to support deeper listening — to our bodies, ourselves and our intuition. Acupuncturist Annie will be teaching us about the five elements and will also be available for treatment throughout the day for a day.

NESSIE-

Nessie is a curator, artist and facilitator whose work sits at the intersection of spiritual ecology, embodied social justice and ancestral remembrance. She is a certified Journey the Breath Facilitator and Yoga Alliance certified yoga and meditation teacher. With over 15 years of experience holding spaces for grief, resilience and collective care, she brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her facilitation. Her approach is trauma-aware, land-connected and deeply relational.

ANNIE

Annie Astbury will be our resident Acupuncturist over the weekend. She is a fully qualified traditional acupuncturist with a focus on the five element approach.

Annie will be able to offer a initial consultation, where she will diagnose your element and any imbalances in your body, mind and spirit. You will delve into your medical history and lifestyle. There will be a physical palpation as well as pulse and tongue diagnosis. Annie will create a bespoke plan for your specific health needs.

Annie has a special interest in women’s health. offering support through menstruation issues and menopause. She has also worked with many women who are receiving chemotherapy and post cancer recovery.

Annie will be offering cupping and moxibustion alongside the Acupunture.

Cupping is the placement of small suction cups on the surface of the skin. Research suggests cupping on the body can reduce pain. In addition it is anti-inflammatory and promotes increased blood circulation. It also helps to modulate the immune system. Cupping leaves temporary marking on the skin. Patients report tension release and relaxation after cupping.

Moxibustion is an essential part of Chinese medicine which takes its name from moxa, prepared from mugwort leaves.

Moxa can be held just above the skin, placed on top of an Acupunture needle or directly on the skin, over specific Acupunture points or meridians. The herb is then lit and as it slowly smoulders, heat permeates the skin and affects the flow of ‘qi’ (energy) and blood in the area being treated.

PRICING

Cupping £40 per hr or £20 for half hour

Introduction to Acupunture and Moxa £50 per hr

Full consultation with Acupunture, Moxa and cupping 1.5hr @ £75
